Fredericton, July 31st, 2015-The Agriculture Alliance of New Brunswick (AANB) is pleased to present “Breakfast on the Farm”, for the first time in New Brunswick. It is a concept borrowed from our partners in Ontario – Farm and Food Care Ontario. The event will make its debut in New Brunswick on Sunday, August 23rd at Belliveau Orchard, 1209 Principale Street in Memramcook.
We will be treating our guests to a first-hand look at modern food production and the opportunity to meet farm families who work hard to produce a safe, high quality, and wholesome food supply. Up to 500 guests will receive a free breakfast made of New Brunswick-grown products by reserving free tickets in advance through the AANB website, www.fermeNBfarm.ca. The event runs from 9 am to 1 pm and is free to attend. Breakfast will be served from 9 am to 11:30 am and advance tickets are required for the breakfast. Breakfast tickets must be reserved and printed in advance at www.fermeNBfarm.ca. There will not be additional breakfast tickets at the event.
There will also be tours of the orchard, Explore Agriculture displays, apple and cider tastings. Also, the Belliveau Orchard Corn Maze opens for the season with a special rate of $10/family on August 23 and all corn maze proceeds from that day will go to the Memramcook Food Bank.
Breakfast on the Farm is made possible in part with assistance through the federal provincial initiative Growing Forward 2 and the Province of New Brunswick.
The AANB is a grassroots organization of farmers working for farmers. We are proud to be a part of promoting a sustainable and prosperous agriculture industry in New Brunswick.
