Fredericton, June 3rd, 2016 – The Agricultural Alliance of New Brunswick (Alliance) is pleased to announce that action has been taken to launch the new Agri-Management Services Inc.  – an arm’s length, non-profit corporation whose mandate is to provide managerial and administrative support to agricultural commodity groups and associations to enhance their performance on behalf of their farm members.

During its formative period, the Agri-Management Services will be supervised by an Ad Hoc Committee of the Alliance, with management and leadership provided by Interim Director Gerry Gartner, former Chief Operating Officer with the Alliance.

“By having Agri-Management Services provide day-to-day managerial and administrative support to the many New Brunswick commodity groups and association, they can then focus on their respective industry issues and market opportunities”, stated Alliance President Mike Bouma.

A further benefit to groups and organizations will be to experience cost savings and synergies generated by services provided through a single delivery agency.

Several agricultural commodity groups and associations have already expressed interest in engaging the support services of Agri-Management Services, namely: NB Soil and Crop Improvement Association, Apple Growers, Pork NB, NB Cattle Producers, NB Cranberries, NB Grape Growers, and NB Beekeepers.

Once Agri-Management Services is fully operational, contractual arrangements will be made with various interested groups and associations, and tailored to meet their particular needs.
